Apple Watch Scope

The Apple Watch app is intentionally focused on metronome use.

The Apple Watch app is metronome-only.

It can be installed directly from Apple Watch and used without installing the iPhone app first.

If you also use ProTuner on a paired iPhone, some metronome settings and library data can sync between devices.

Current watch limitations

No microphone tuning on Apple Watch
No watch-side custom tuning workflow
Watch playback currently uses quarter-note pulses only

Microphone and Input Troubleshooting

Use these steps if tuning is not responding or ProTuner is listening to the wrong source.

Microphone access on iPhone or iPad

Open iPhone or iPad Settings.
Find ProTuner and make sure Microphone access is enabled.
Return to ProTuner and reopen the tuning screen.
If you use an external microphone or audio interface, reconnect it and reopen the tuner so iOS refreshes the route.

Audio route or input problems

Disconnect and reconnect the audio device.
Reopen the app if iOS does not refresh automatically.
Check the audio route section in ProTuner Settings if multiple inputs are available.
Avoid Bluetooth hands-free routes for precise tuning when possible.

Metronome, Reminders, and Apple Watch Troubleshooting

The most common playback and sync issues usually come down to permissions, device state, or paired-device refresh.

Metronome issues

Make sure the app is in the foreground.
Check that the tempo and time signature are set correctly.
On iPhone and iPad, confirm device volume and mute state.
On Apple Watch, confirm haptics are enabled if you expect wrist feedback.

Reminder issues

Enable reminders inside ProTuner.
Allow notifications in system settings.
Keep in mind that reminders are local notifications scheduled on-device.

Apple Watch issues

You can install ProTuner directly from Apple Watch.
If you want sync, make sure the watch is paired to the same iPhone that has ProTuner installed.
If synced presets seem out of date, open ProTuner on iPhone and then relaunch the watch app.
Remember that Apple Watch is metronome-only; tuning stays on iPhone and iPad.

Data and Privacy Summary

ProTuner is designed to keep music utility workflows on-device wherever possible.

ProTuner processes tuning audio on-device.
ProTuner does not require an account.
ProTuner does not show ads.
ProTuner does not use third-party tracking.
ProTuner stores user data locally on the device.
If paired sync is used, metronome data may move between iPhone and Apple Watch through Apple's WatchConnectivity framework.

Billing and Refunds

Apple manages billing and refund requests for App Store purchases.

If your issue is related to billing or refunds, Apple handles those requests directly through its purchase support flow.

ProTuner support can help with product behavior and troubleshooting, but it cannot directly issue App Store refunds.
