An Apple Watch metronome with optional paired sync

Information ProTuner Accesses

Permissions are narrow and tied directly to app functionality.

Microphone

ProTuner requests microphone access on iPhone and iPad only.

Purpose: Detect pitch for tuning features.

The Apple Watch app does not use the watch microphone.

Notifications

ProTuner may request notification permission if you enable reminders.

Purpose: Deliver local practice reminders.

Watch Connectivity

If you use ProTuner on both Apple Watch and a paired iPhone, the app may use Apple's WatchConnectivity framework.

Purpose: Sync metronome settings and library data between devices.

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

ProTuner stores app data locally in the app container instead of relying on a ProTuner backend account system.

This may include:

Onboarding and app preferences
Custom tunings
Metronome presets, setlists, practice programs, and runtime settings
Practice session summaries and streak information
Local diagnostics and release-health snapshots
Local analytics event logs used for on-device diagnostics and product behavior analysis

Apple Watch may also store its own local metronome settings and state for standalone use.

What ProTuner Does Not Collect

ProTuner does not collect or upload personal or practice data to a ProTuner-controlled server.

Tracking, Advertising, and Support Communications

ProTuner is not built around ads, third-party tracking, or account-based data collection.

Support communications

If you contact support by email or another published contact method, you may provide information such as your name, email address, device details, app version, screenshots, and anything else you include in your message.

Third-party and platform services

ProTuner relies on Apple platform services and app frameworks, including App Store distribution, local notifications, audio APIs, and WatchConnectivity.

Apple may independently collect information as part of operating system, App Store, analytics, crash reporting, or billing systems. Those practices are governed by Apple's own terms and privacy policies, not this Privacy Policy.

Data Retention and Your Choices

Because ProTuner stores app data locally, retention is mostly controlled by you and your device.

Data retention

App data remains on your device until you remove it in the app where supported or delete the app.
Notification settings can be changed in system settings at any time.
Device backup behavior is controlled by Apple and your iCloud or local backup settings.
Support emails or support requests may be retained as needed to respond to your request and maintain support history.

Your choices

Deny microphone access, though tuning features will not work without it.
Leave notifications disabled.
Remove custom tunings or metronome data where the app provides those controls.
Delete the app to remove its local app container from the device.
Stop using paired watch sync by not using the app on both paired devices.

Children, Changes to This Policy, and Contact

This policy can change over time, and updated versions will be posted at the published ProTuner privacy URL.

ProTuner is a music utility app and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through a ProTuner backend or account system.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.

If it changes materially, the updated version will be posted at the published Privacy Policy URL with a new effective date.
